I then double up with a normal concealer, a popular favorite, because it works, Shape Tape, by Tarte. Shape Tape is only sold at Ulta, or on their website! This concealer is meant to be used anywhere and everywhere you want to conceal! I double up on my under eyes, (because you can never have enough coverage there!) and I use it in the chin area, around my nose and in between my eyebrows as a highlighter! I use a larger beauty blender to blend the concealer, leaving me with a neutral complexion ready for my foundation, bronzer, blush & highlighter (these will be reviewed in another post!).If I had a sack of the money I’ve spent over the years on concealers … well let’s just say… I’d be somewhere on a beach right now. That is okay! This is the purpose of a color correcting concealer, it gives us an even palette to work with for the rest of your makeup!!

I CURRENTLY USE THE SHADE MEDIUM, & RECOMMEND FINDING ONE THAT IS AT LEAST A SHADE LIGHTER THAN YOUR SKIN TONE! (REMEMBER YOU CAN ADD YOUR FOUNDATION ON TOP AS WELL AS BRONZER, BUT YOU WANT TO LIGHTEN UNDER YOUR EYES, NOT DARKEN! How to ApplyĪpplying the concealer is extremely easy! A little teeny bit goes a long way! I repeat, you do not need a lot! Trust me!! I take a tiny drop on my ring finger (less pressure than any of the other fingers!) and start where my eye crease and nose meet! I have darkness/ veins that are visible there so I like that to be concealed! Drag the concealer in a half-moon shape outwards, underneath your eye! Do the same on the other side and then you can begin blending! I use my finger to dab, pat and smooth on my entire under eye, however you can definitely use a beauty blender, my favorite mini ones are linked here.Īfter you have blended this area you will notice it is lighten than the rest of your complexion. I have been on the hunt for the right concealer / under eye coverage for years! I was blessed with extremely fair, thin, skin, the perfect recipe for dark under eye circles! I could have gotten 10+ hours of sleep the night before and I continue to wake up with dark circles! I do use collagen eye pads before a shoot, event, or if they are really really bad, but I need a quick fix in the morning!
